I highly recommend this book to people who are looking to expand their cooking skills beyond hamburger helper. I've used volume 1 and now 2 of this book and have learned so many new ways to cook for less. I guess you can say how to make it the natural way.This book makes the menu for you, give you the list of groceries you need for that week that is already planned (dinners), and that way when you come home from work/school, you just open the page up to the recipe of the day and just follow it's instructions.My family tried new foods where we learned what we liked and didn't and learned how to make them from scratch.I now keep on hand always flour, sugar, chicken broth, and flavorful spices. The rest is based off what we decide to make.

I hate meal planning and grocery shopping. Yet with my husband's tendency toward diabetes we needed to change our ways. This book has provided some wonderful tools to make the challenge easier. Thank you, thank you! The weekly meal plans, along with shopping lists, is heaven sent. We pick a week, check the grocery list against what we already have in the house, and go to the store. Easy-peasy. And all of the recipes are good. Of course, we're finding favorites and marking them for repeat use in the future. It also provides a great breakdown of nutrients for each serving. So if you are looking to track you calories, sugar, carbs, etc., the information is provided for each receipe. Awesome job, Brenda! We bought Volume I.

I really liked my Quick and Healthy Recipes book one so I purchased this one as well. There are so many useful hints as well as healthy, good tasting recipes that uses easy to find ingredients. I would recommend both of the Quick and Healthy books.

This book was recommended by My Mayo Clinic dietician. It has helped me to be organized with the weekly grocery list and Mon-Fri I have dinner on the table by the time my husband gets home with a meal that is healthy for us both. I am on week 7 and will continue.

For a diabetic cook book, it is very good with having a wide variety of foods.For someone just trying to eat healthier and isn't a diabetic... many of the recipes are very bland.

Good recipes, weekly menus, commonly Used ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboard.
