The JMT and the PCT are labelled. Not a single other trail is. Have to use online maps to put in for my permit despite having this map spread out in front of me. I'm sure it's quite accurate, and it's laid out reasonably well, but when I can't even refer to a trail by it's name, despite having a paper map with me ... I'm not sure this is the map I want with me on my backpack.EDIT DECEMBER 2018: Bumped it up a star. My trip went fine. Turns out a lot of the trails aren't labelled IRL either.
If you are heading into the great outdoors look no further. When GPS unit batteries die you will need an old fashioned map.This is the best brand you can get. These are detailed maps that feature every elevation and measurement you want.BEST FEATURE: TEAR RESISTANT. This is not your standard paper map. These do not tear. The material is super durable and will withstand the elements so no need to worry about moisture ruining these.$10 is nothing. Especially when you are lost in the woods.
Beautiful detailed Map! Exactly what i was looking for for my backpacking trip. Sure the trails aren't labeled as has been pointed out but, they are clearly marked. It WOULD be nice to see the trail names, but if you can't figure out which ones you were going to be hiking from other resources maybe you should think twice before setting off for the backcountry! lol
If you are going to hike out of the valley, this is your map. You may need another tom harrison map that is just the valley
