Chock full of information. The problem is glossy pages that reflect light and a small font. The least-legible pages are the index pages, arguably the most used pages of all. The index font is not only smaller, it's gray, not black, and even a lighter font (weight) than the rest of the book--and the frequent italics don't help either. Add all that with the glare, and I'm back to the computer for information. Bottom line: If you're <40, you'll probably find this very legible. >40, not so much. 330+ pages for $16 is a fabulous deal--until you realize they gave up a legible font to do all that. Nice pics, though.
Best book ever for guiding you through pruning pretty much anything. Doing it right can make shrubs and vine thrive; doing it wrong can kill them, so why not read the book first? Simple, clear instructions. This and a good pair of pruning shears and you are good to go.
This book is awesome! I bought it for my sister who is a new landscaper and she loves it. It gives very good instructions on a large variety of plants, have good illustrations and lots of great information. It is a very useful tool for someone like my sister who knows her stuff as well as someone like me who is doing good to identify the plant.
Incredibly clear and informative - not quite as detailed as I would have liked, but it makes up for it in clarity.

It's nice to have a book I can go to for assistance versus endlessly searching YouTube and search Engines for help. This book does have a lot of helpful information. I can garden with ease now that I have direction.

Saw some of the inside of the book before I bought this and it turned out to be even better once I dug in. Great for intermediate level gardeners.
